Avril Lavigne Singer Opens Up About Her Disease IN Show 'Good Morning America'

Songstress Avril Lavigne who was away from limelight for quite a long time, made an appearance on the show 'Good Morning America.' During the show, she opened up about one too many things but broke down in tears while talking about her disease.

Lavigne revealed that she had been bedridden owing to Lyme disease since last October. She saw specialist after specialist but no one could diagnose the disease.

"They would pull up their computer and be like, 'Chronic fatigue syndrome.' Or, 'Why don't you try to get out of bed, Avril, and just go play the piano?' It's like, 'Are you depressed? This is what they do to a lot of people who have Lyme disease. They don't have an answer for them so they tell them, like, 'You're crazy," the singer said.

Avril had spoken to a renowned magazine early this year about her complications. She is quoted to have said, "I felt like I couldn't breathe, I couldn't talk and I couldn't move. I thought I was dying. There were definitely times I couldn't shower for a full week because I could barely stand. It felt like having all your life sucked out of you."
